COVID Guidelines

What We Are Doing for the Health and Safety of Our Guests

Effective February 14, 2023, international travelers arriving into Fiji by air or sea will no longer be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and travel insurance.

Please find some of Fiji’s required travel guidelines below — and you’ll also learn what we are doing at Namale to ensure you have a safe, comfortable and relaxing visit.

The Care Fiji Commitment

Fiji is recognized as a “Safe Travels” destination by the World Travel and Tourism Council thanks to The Care Fiji Commitment (CFC) — a World Health Organization-approved standard of best-practice health and safety measures for travel.

Click here to learn more about the Care Fiji Commitment and our dedication to your health and safety while you visit.

Namale is proud to be recognized as a Care Fiji Commitment-certified resort and 100% of our staff are fully vaccinated.

Before Your Visit

All international travelers to Fiji and Namale must have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond their return date. To learn more about travel to Fiji, view our frequently asked questions.

Upon Arrival

When you arrive in Fiji, you will go through Fiji Immigration and Customs. Namale guests must transfer at the airport directly to the Domestic Travel Terminal and Fiji Link Airlines. Once there, you will check-in and board your flight to Savusavu on the island of Vanua Levu where Namale is located.

Upon arrival at the Savusavu airport, you will be greeted by one of our Namale staff who will take care of your luggage and escort you to one of our resort vehicles for the 10-minute ride to the Namale Resort. All Namale guest transportation vehicles are CFC-certified.

Returning Home

Some travelers may need to take a COVID test before re-entering their country and test negative.

The type of test required is determined by the country you are returning to:

For countries requiring PCR tests

PCR tests must be administered 96 hours before your scheduled international departure flight.

For countries requiring a rapid test only

Rapid tests must be administered 24 hours before your scheduled international departure flight.

Namale can facilitate testing at the property.

A negative test allows you to travel home as planned.

Other Departure Considerations

Be sure to review your specific country’s re-entry requirements before your trip so you are prepared for testing.

Any quarantine costs including accommodations, meals, testing and other expenses are the responsibility of the traveler.

Enhanced Safety Measures

At Namale, your health and safety are our top priority.

Our staff is fully trained in COVID-19 protocols, and we have implemented additional safety measures so you don’t have to worry during your visit.
