Eating seasonally has its benefits – especially during mango season! This time of year brings lush harvests of tropical mango to Namale’s farms, which supply much of the produce, herbs, and fruits to our all inclusive, farm-to-table dining concept. Used in all sorts of recipes, from mango jam to mango salsa to mango sorbet, here is one of our favorites – mango margaritas!
Make this recipe at home to bring a little tropicana to a festive holiday party, or to reminisce about warmer summers.
Mango Margarita Recipe
- 3/4 cup fresh mango (frozen diced mango or mango juice could work in a pinch)
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
- 1 ounce tequila
- 2 thin strips orange zest
- 3 small mango balls (scooped with a melon baller) or fresh slice of mango
Place fresh mango, ice, orange juice, tequila, and Grand Marnier in a blender and pulse until smooth. Pour into an 8-ounce glass and garnish with orange zest and a skewer threaded with mango balls or a fresh slice of mango; serve immediately.
